As of February 6, 2008 FEMA will be setting up a Disaster Relief Center at the old middle school gymnasium . They will be here for about three weeks. It would be helpful if residents will pre-register before going to the center by calling

1-800-621-3362.

The following is a link that will show the declaration, what it means, and how to start getting help.

NIPSCO has a phone tree that would automatically call you with flood information. This phone tree dials 192 people at once. It can call mobile or land lines. If it calls your mobile and gets your voice mail, it will call your land line next. If the system thinks it did not get a human, it will call back after three minutes for a total of three times trying to reach a human. You will need to listen to the entire message until it says thank you.
